Southwest Tennessee Community College is thrilled to announce an exciting new collaboration with L.Y.E Academy, founded by the celebrated dancer and choreographer Ladia Yates.
Yates is recognized as one of the top female dancers in the world with an impressive career that includes performances with stars like Janelle Monáe, NLE Choppa, Missy Elliott, Usher, Lil Baby, and more.
The partnership aims to bring a fun and effective way for the community to get fit and healthy.
The inaugural dance series is open to participants age 18 and above and will feature cardio hip-hop classes, with a set of six weekly sessions running every Saturday from Nov. 9 through Dec. 14, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
The dance sessions will be taught by Academy instructors, Alexavier Seals and Prep Curry, at the L.Y.E Dance Academy at 4670 Merchants Park Circle, Collierville, TN 38107.
All skill levels are welcome. Whether you’re looking to get fit, learn new moves, or simply have a great time, this is your chance to experience the joy of dance and industry-standard training from the best in the business.
The cost for each class is $15. Register by Oct. 28 and get an early bird special discount for all six classes at $60.
