What type of student are you?
Note: Applicants with Certificate of Achievement diplomas are not eligible for admission to degree-granting programs.
A non-degree seeking student is one who is simply taking classes here, but does not desire to earn a degree from Southwest. Non-degree seeking students are not eligible to receive financial aid at Southwest.
A dual enrollment student is a high school student who will enroll in one or more specified college course(s) for which the student will be awarded both high school and college credit.
A transfer student is one who has previously enrolled in a regionally-accredited institution and wants to transfer to Southwest. Students must provide official transcripts of credits attempted from all schools previously attended.
A transient student (visiting) is one who is currently attending another college who plans to enroll at Southwest for one semester and return to the home institution. A transient student is not eligible to receive financial aid at Southwest.
An international student is one who is a citizen of another country who wants to attend Southwest.
A returning student (readmit) is one who previously attended Southwest over a year ago, and now wants to come back. Students who have attended other regionally-accredited institutions during their absence from Southwest are required to submit official transcripts from each school attended.
