Campus SaVE Act
The Campus SaVE Act (Campus Sexual Violence Elimination Act), which amends the Clery Act, was passed in 2013 and became effective in March 2014. Final rules governing the regulations under this act were issued in October 2014. This new set of amendments mandates higher education institutions to add and/or modify definitions, statistical compilations, education and training, and disciplinary policies and procedures related to sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking.
In many ways, the mandates under Campus SaVE overlap with or supplement Title IX requirements.
