PASO Awards

These awards are meant to recognize employees who consistently provide exemplary service and follow-through to all by going above and beyond one’s job description.

PASO Leadership Award

Leadership Award Criteria:

  • Completed 5 years of service at Southwest Tennessee Community College 
  • Willingly served in any capacity asked by the college 
  • Actively volunteered for special events and contributed to their success 
  • Served on committees (or other college projects) and contributed to their success 
  • Projected a positive image of the college and generally served the college above beyond the call of duty 
  • Contributed substantially to the development of his or her staff; Supports the mission and goals of the institution 
  • Consistently demonstrates our Shared Values 
  • Takes initiative to make things Encourages teamwork and unity 
  • Supports Southwest Tennessee Community College practices, procedures and policies 
  • Improving department/division/unit morale through actions not related to job 
  • Exhibits a positive attitude towards fellow employees, students, the public and work 
  • Demonstrated by availability, cooperation, courtesy, friendliness, helpfulness, and presence on the job 

PASO Service Award 

Service Award Criteria:

  • Completed 3 years of service at Southwest Tennessee Community College Nominee's actions must reflect all five of the customer service attributes: courteous, helpful, accessible, responsive and knowledgeable 
  • Demonstrating exceptional follow-through when handling requests and complaints 
  • Going above and beyond the normal job requirements to deliver note-worthy service 
  • Serves as a role model through positive interactions with customers 
  • Transforms complaints into valuable feedback 
  • Handles all customer interactions in a fair and judicious manner 
  • Efficiently and effectively meets customer needs’ 
  • Demonstrates superior interpersonal communication skills 
  • Creates a welcoming and caring atmosphere for all customers 

Self-nominations are accepted.

Nominations are solicited via email during the spring of every year.
