Southwest Tennessee Community College has reopened Room 317 in the Nursing, Natural and Biotechnology Sciences Building on the Union Avenue Campus after closing it yesterday for sanitation due to a reported case of covid-19. Regularly scheduled classes resume tonight, Thursday, September 24.
The Shelby County Health Department has recommended only closing the areas identified as visited by individuals who self-reported. Other areas of the building will remain open for operations while the College performs sanitation in the affected area in accordance with Back to Campus Plan guidelines and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention standards.
All Southwest students, employees and visitors who test positive for COVID-19 are encouraged to self-report online on the coronavirus section of the Southwest website. The form only takes a few minutes to complete and all information will be kept strictly confidential.
