Coronel Named TCCAA Pitcher of the Week

Miguel Coronel, a sophomore right-handed pitcher on the Southwest baseball team, has been selected by the Tennessee Baseball Report as TCCAA Pitcher of the Week for March 17-23.

Coronel, a native of Maracay, Venezuela, allowed just one hit and no runs in 7-2/3 innings in the Saluqis' 1-0 shutout win over Dyersburg State on March 23. For the season, Coronel has compiled a 4.33 earned run average and leads the team with 54 innings pitched, 39 strikeouts and four pitching wins.
