Three Southwest Softball Players Named All-TCCAA
Three members of the Southwest softball team were voted by the conference's coaches to the All-TCCAA team including one first team selection.
Haylee Power, a sophomore pitcher/first baseman from Bolton High School, was named first team All-TCCAA as a utility player. Power, a second team selection as a freshman last season, led the Lady Saluqis with 11 home runs (the second most in school history) and 43 runs batted in, which ranks as the fourth best all-time at Southwest. In addition, her 20-career-home runs is a Southwest record. As a pitcher, Power led the staff with nine wins, a 3.03 earned run average, 129-1/3 innings pitched and 79 strikeouts. She also holds the Southwest record for pitching victories in a career with 35.
Sophomore Ali Hare (Cape Coral, FL) and freshman Taylor Moore (Medina, TN) were second team selections. Hare, who made the all-conference team as a catcher and also played outfield for the Lady Saluqis, led the team with a .424 batting average, 72 hits, 14 doubles, 101 total bases, a .594 slugging average and a .445 on-base average. Moore, the Lady Saluqis' shortstop all season, batted .354 with seven home runs and 34 runs batted in and led the team with 39 runs scored and 133 assists.
