Early FAFSA completers win book scholarships
Congratulations to Kamilah Fair (Union Avenue Campus), Glendoria Townsend (Macon Cove Campus), Patrick Garner (Maxine A. Smith Center), and Brianna Henderson (Whitehaven Center), all students who won a $250 book scholarship for completing their 2020-2021 Free Application for Federal Student Aid Nov. 1 – 29, 2019. They were among the many students who entered the early FAFSA completion contest sponsored by the Office of Financial Aid.
The winners were drawn from among those students who completed the FAFSA by Nov. 29, 2019. Students dropped off their FASFA confirmation of completion page at the College’s financial aid offices to enter the drawing.
Completing the FAFSA qualifies students to be considered for Federal funds, Pell Grants, Tennessee Promise and Reconnect funds. In addition, FAFSA information is used to award Southwest grants and Foundation scholarships.
