Fines

Fines may be paid at the Cashier's Office on either Macon Cove or Union Avenue Campus.

Students who have unpaid fines or outstanding debts, such as overdue library books or traffic tickets, will not be able to register for classes until the obligation is resolved. It is important to clear all outstanding fines and miscellaneous debts before the registration process.

Please refer to the Library Fines area of the Fees and Charges as shown in the online Academic Catalog.

Appeals for a library fine should be directed to library personnel. If the person appealing is not satisfied with the resolution, a written appeal on the Library Appeals form can be made to the Administrative Head of Library Services. Further appeals can be made to the Provost/Executive Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs and then to the President of the College. Students who fail to pay library fines or successfully appeal library fines will be denied registration in further courses at Southwest, and will be denied transcripts of courses already completed.
