Library Circulation Services

The desk is the key service point for checking out, returning materials, and requesting reserve items. The staff are trained individuals: knowledgeable of library policies and procedures, open, approachable and effective communicators.

A valid college identification or community borrowers' card must be presented to borrow materials.

ID cards must be worn at all times and clearly displayed when on Southwest property. This includes attending classes, using our libraries or participating in Southwest sponsored events.

Please present two forms of identification verifying your name and current address. Present your card when visiting.

Reference materials and periodicals are used in the library only. Consult the table below for other materials/formats.

Materials can be renewed one time by various means: at any InfoNet public service desk, by telephone, via CyberCAT (online catalog) or online renewal.

All fines and charges are paid in the Cashier's Office.

Categories of Participation

These categories of participation indicates who will be able to borrow materials from the participating libraries listed below.
Category A: The library will loan directly to any faculty/staff member, graduate student, undergraduate student, etc. of a participating institution.
Category B: The library will loan directly to graduate students or faculty/staff members only of participating institutions.
Category C: The library will loan directly only to faculty/staff members of participating institutions.
Category D: The library will admit faculty/staff members, graduate students, and undergraduate students from participating libraries to use library collections in-house.

These agreements are evaluated on a regular basis.

Materials will be transported upon request to an InfoNet Library conveniently located near you.

Students will be placed on Library Hold for overdue materials.

Patrons are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner by following these simple rules of conduct:

  1. Monitor noise levels.
  2. Do not bring in food or beverages.
  3. Do not misuse library property.
  4. Place cell phones on vibrate. Long conversations not allowed.
  5. Non-library staff and faculty are not allowed to use the library as personal office space.
