Welcome home, Saluqis! As you prepare to embark on a new journey at Southwest, orientation will equip you with the tools you need to walk the path towards student success. You will not have to do this alone. We are here to help you navigate through this process every step of the way.
About Orientation
During orientation, you will have the opportunity to meet our faculty and staff and learn about our many student support services. All new students are required to complete the New Student Orientation. Orientation is offered in person for the fall and spring semesters. The check-in for orientation begins at 10:00 am with orientation beginning at 11:00 am and will conclude at 1:30 pm. The Spring 2026 orientation schedule is listed below.
Students must be admitted to the college to attend orientation. This means you have submitted all of the necessary documents to the Office of Admissions.
It is recommended that students are registered for classes before signing up for orientation to maximize the benefits of attending NSO. Studets can register for classes after they have been admitted by meeting with their Professional Academic Advisor.
