Governor appoints President Hall to Post-Secondary Readiness and the Business Community subcommittee
By Diana Fedinec
Congratulations to Southwest President Tracy D. Hall on her appointment to the Tennessee Department of Education’s Post-Secondary Readiness and the Business Community Subcommittee. Governor Bill Lee announced Dr. Hall’s appointment October 8, 2021 in his call for review of Tennessee’s public education funding strategy to ensure students are prepared for postsecondary success.
“I’m honored to be selected for this important responsibility,” President Hall said. “The workforce and economic development mission of community colleges has never been more relevant, especially as we prepare for the arrival of Blue Oval. Preparing students for the abundant opportunities that exist and are on the horizon is critical to the economic vitality of the region and Southwest will be at the center of this work.”
