Southwest is proud to announce a new partnership and articulation program with Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) that includes discounted tuition for Southwest employees and immediate family members, students and alumni. Plus, there are no application fees and no out-of-state fees.
As a private, nonprofit university, SNHU provides online and on-campus undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Members of the Southwest community who have completed an associate degree can transfer up to 90 of their college credits to SNHU to obtain a bachelor’s degree or pursue a master’s degree or earn graduate hours at the discounted tuition rate.
During a 2024 Winter Recharge session on Jan. 9, 2024, Stephen Mann, regional director east of University Partnerships for SNHU, shared details about the partnership and articulation agreement. Dr. Joan McGrory, professor of Business and Legal Studies at Southwest, shared her experiences as an SNHU graduate student and the support she has received in earning teaching credentials in economics.
Mann described SNHU’s commitment to student success that begins with vertical pathways that describe the transfer of Southwest associate degrees into SNHU. According to Mann, the support continues throughout the student’s journey with routine outreach by academic advisors and extensive online resources such as 24/7 library and technical support, online writing labs, and more.
“These pathways and programs are available to everyone,” Mann said. “At SNHU, we strive to give everyone access to a high quality, affordable education. The professors at SNHU teach in-demand skills and give students the knowledge they need to obtain jobs in the workforce.”
Undergraduate terms are eight weeks and graduate terms are ten weeks, which enable students to reach their academic goals quickly.
