Federal Pell Grant (FPELL)
The Federal Pell Grant is a federal aid program designed to provide financial assistance to those with the greatest need to attend post secondary educational institutions. These grants are intended to be the floor of a financial aid package and may be combined with other forms of aid in order to meet the full costs of an education. The amount is determined on the basis of student and family financial resources. An application must be submitted each year. Grants are limited to U.S. citizens, permanent residents and certain other non-citizens. This is gift aid and usually does not have to be repaid.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) provides funds for students who have extreme financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and their eligibility for other types of financial assistance. Priority is given to Federal Pell Grant recipients with a $0 Expected Family Contribution (EFC). SEOG is gift aid and usually does not have to be repaid. Awards are made up to $600 per academic year for eligible students.
