Southwest hires Victoria Brown for Public Relations Coordinator

Victoria Brown has been selected as the new Public Relations Coordinator at Southwest Tennessee Community College, effective Oct.16, 2023.
Brown has more than seven years of experience working in the Communications field. Prior to joining the College, Brown worked as a digital media and television news producer for several years. During this time, Brown helped to deliver informative, engaging content to local readers and viewers.
Beginning her career as a journalist and producer, Brown spent several years working at WRCB-TV in Chattanooga, TN, WMC-TV in Memphis, TN, and Gannett. After working as a creative media producer, Brown transitioned to the education field and spent time working at The University of Memphis Campus School before joining the College’s Marketing and Communications team.
Over the years, Brown has developed and nurtured a number of creative skills, including writing, editing, and content production. Brown is excited to utilize these skills in collaboration with fellow staff to work toward accomplishing the school’s strategic goals.
“I’m honored to join the Marketing and Communications team at Southwest Tennessee Community College,” Brown said. “I look forward to working with such a talented group, and I’m excited to be a part of Southwest’s mission to support students in their short and long-term academic endeavors.”
Brown received a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in public administration degree from Troy University.
